Placenta Encapsulation & Keepsakes services are offered to all families within my regular servicing area. You do not have to be a birth doula client to schedule placenta encapsulation.
Placenta Encapsulation Services
How it Works:

-due date

I will send you a contract to sign either electronically or by mail.
Once your baby is born, you will call me. I will come and pick up your placenta.
Your placenta capsules and cord keepsake will be delivered to either your home or birthing location 36-72 hours after receiving the placenta. Instructions are included
$250
**Please contact me sooner rather than later about your placenta. I cannot guarantee last minute requests, but will do my best to accommodate.
**Unless I already work with your midwife or doula, I need to be contacted about your encapsulation services prior to the birth.
Benefits of Placenta Encapsulation
Anecdotal reports and community insight suggests that there are many benefits including:
-Decrease in postpartum mood disorders
-Increased milk supply
-Increased production of oxytocin
-A restoration of iron levels
-A decrease in stress hormones

Some of the ascribed benefits of placenta encapsulation are supported by ongoing research; however these benefits have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA. There is very little evidence based information regarding placenta encapsulation available. It is your responsibility to determine whether using placenta preparations may be of benefit to you.***

Placenta Keepsakes Services
How it Works:

-due date
-birth location
-phone number
I will send you a contract to sign either electronically or by mail.
We will arrange a time for the placenta and/or cord to be picked up or delivered during normal business hours. The client is responsible for storing the placenta until pickup.
Your keepsakes will be delivered or ready for pick up about 2 weeks after the placenta and/or cord is received. Keepsakes can be created with a previously frozen placenta.

Placenta Prints
Includes 3 prints
Prints are made with natural blood and/or food coloring if accompanied with encapsulation
Prints are made with natural blood and/or watercolor paints if placenta is not being encapsulated.
$25 add on to encapsulation
$75 by itself, includes placenta pick up and delivery
$50 if placenta is delivered and finished products are picked up
Cord Keepsakes
Available in natural, gold, or silver finish
$20 add on to encapsulation
$75 by itself, includes placenta pick up and delivery
$50 if placenta is delivered and finished products are picked up
